GSTV Appoints Sean McCaffrey as New President and Chief Executive Officer

DETROIT (September 5, 2017), Gas Station TV (GSTV), one of the largest media networks in the United States, today announced Sean McCaffrey as its new President and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.  McCaffrey succeeds David Leider, GSTV’s co-founder and CEO of nearly 12 years, who grew the company to a national presence and is now launching a new venture.

“After a thorough selection process, the Board of Directors is pleased that Sean will lead GSTV as the company enters its next phase, advancing its position as a leading national video network in an evolving media landscape,” said Kenan Basha, GSTV Board Member and Principal at Rockbridge Growth Equity.  “GSTV is well-positioned in today’s competitive marketplace.  Under Sean’s leadership, we are confident that GSTV will continue growing and innovating around our unique audiences and viewing experience to deliver highly effective advertising capabilities to national and regional brands.”

McCaffrey brings significant experience to GSTV.  He has spent more than 20 years in the media industry, working in a variety of senior sales, partnership and leadership roles across a number of markets and regions.  Formerly Executive Vice President, National Client Strategy & Partnerships at Clear Channel Outdoor, he has a proven track record of delivering value for leading national and global advertiser partners.  In the past several years he’s been a leader in championing the evolution of media channels and products by utilizing technology, data and consumer insights out-of-home.

“It is a privilege and honor to join the GSTV family,” said McCaffrey. “With the support of the dedicated and talented team at GSTV, we will leverage our strong foundation to deliver national solutions, services and experiences for our advertisers and retailer partners.  We are a national video network that is intrinsically part of the consumer journey, often directly prior or adjacent to a purchase decision.  I look forward to driving business results for our partners while entertaining consumers throughout their weekly travels.”

In April 2017, GSTV and Verifone announced a 50-50 joint venture that combined the assets and operations of Verifone’s Pump Media division with GSTV, owned by Detroit-based Rockbridge

Growth Equity and Falcon Investment Advisors.  The combined business operates under the GSTV brand and will deliver 3.3 billion annual impressions through more than 18,000 locations in all 50 states by year’s end.

“On behalf of the Board and the company, I want to thank David for his vision, commitment and leadership of GSTV,” said Basha.  “During his tenure, David advanced the company’s growth and leadership position in the marketplace with record revenues and innovative data and analytics.  We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

GSTV is the largest national video network reaching active consumers, with a mass audience of 75 million monthly unique viewers – one-third of American adults.  It provides national and regional marketers across all industry sectors a simple and effective way to reach valuable, highly attentive consumers in an increasingly fragmented media environment.
