Our Story

How we came to be

Back in 2006, our founders began implementing their vision to provide the most informative and entertaining media experience at the pump. That vision became a reality with just a five-station pilot in Dallas to over 11,000 stations across the country. Based in Detroit, GSTV has emerged as America’s # 1 video network at the pump.

Team behind the screens

Our team is woven of handpicked experts that are highly talented, dedicated and all around passionate about their work. Led by forward thinking, strategic executives that have been at the heart of the company since day one, we work in harmony each day to provide the absolute best media experience at the pump.

David Leider

With more than 25 years experience in the media, automotive, consumer packaged goods, retail, and technology sectors; David Leider is a foremost authority in the digital media industry. As CEO and board member, Leider heads all business operations successfully positioning GSTV as the leading away-from-home television network. Before co-founding GSTV in 2006, David was a member of the senior management team at Yahoo!, and at three of the top advertising, marketing, and interactive companies in the world - J. Walter Thompson, Doner and Organic.

Steve Kuehn

Prior to GSTV, Kuehn was the CFO for the largest global client account of WPP group, responsible for all financial and operational areas delivering a full breadth of marketing services in the US, as well as, in over 40 markets worldwide. In his 20 years in advertising, Kuehn was the Office and North American Regional Finance Director, and Global Client Finance Director, servicing world class automotive, fast food and retail industry clients. Previous experience includes three years as a senior manager with Accenture, following 10 years with Arthur Andersen.

Mo Alcaptan

Before co-founding GSTV in 2006, Mo owned and operated his own design, architecture, logistics and construction business. He studied at the University of London Art Academy and Reading College as well as the University of Detroit's Architectural School of Design. Leveraging his design and technical background, Mo has driven the development of GSTV's industry-leading DTV designs from DTV1 through today's new DTV4. In leading all field operations including installation, NOC, service and maintenance, Mo's logistics and construction experience have enabled him to drive 99.9% uptime, as well as 100% retailer customer satisfaction.

David Karp
EVP, Business Development

David is responsible for all GSTV business development initiatives, and serves as General Counsel for the company. Previously, David headed business development and legal affairs for SnagFilms, Inc., directing strategy and distribution of high-quality filmed content across all digital platforms and devices. Earlier, David was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Discovery Communications, Inc., where he oversaw all aspects of programming, development, marketing, and management of Science Channel, Military Channel and other emerging cable television networks. He also held roles managing new media ventures for Discovery Networks U.S. David successfully led the launch of Discovery’s first high definition TV network, development of an animation and special effects studio and the introduction of online interactive features. Additionally, he was responsible for extending Discovery brands and products into site-based initiatives, including live events, touring exhibits and large format films. Before joining Discovery, David was an associate at the Washington, D.C.-based law firm of Hogan & Hartson, where he specialized in telecommunications and cable television matters. He earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Chris Wascha

As CTO, Chris oversees all technology departments including Corporate IT, technology infrastructure, application development, broadcast services, and network operations. Prior to this experience, Chris spent five years at Borders Group Inc., where he managed application development and IT services. There he led the development and implementation of borders.com. Prior to Borders, Chris spent 10 years as a technology consultant at Accenture, working with fortune 200 companies to craft and implement technology strategies. Chris received his Bachelor's Degree in decision science and information systems from the University of Kentucky.
