The ADAM Program FAQs

Did you know gas stations are key locations for spotting abducted children? Your participation in ADAM gives hope and peace of mind to broken families and lets them know that they are not alone in the search and recovery of their missing children.

  • As a participant in the ADAM Program, your email address is associated with the physical address of your station(s). If a child goes missing and your location(s) fall within the targeted search area, an email from “Poster Distribution” will be sent containing a JPG file of the missing child’s poster as well as the case details.

  • The most important thing is to be on the lookout for the missing child. In an effort to raise awareness and let others know about the missing child, it is highly suggested to forward the email to your store managers in the area and display the poster in the store window and/or near the checkout counter where customers and store employees can easily view. For additional reach, a quick post to social media is encouraged.

  • Recovery times of missing children vary. If the child is recovered and you received the initial ADAM alert via email, you will receive a follow-up email informing you to discontinue circulation of the poster. You can also check the status on a poster you received through the www.missingkids.org website using their search feature. If the child is still missing, they will appear in the results.

  • Follow the instructions on the poster to get in touch with the proper authorities. Each poster contains a toll-free number and, often, the number of the local police department. If you don’t have this information on hand, call 911.

  • Simply forward information about the ADAM Program to your network of contacts encouraging them to sign up and participate to receive missing children alerts in their area.

With your help, GSTV and our fuel retail partners across the US can make a real difference in recovery stories. Let’s work together to keep communities safe for our children and reunite broken families suffering from the loss of their most precious and treasured gift.
