Sean McCaffrey
President & CEO
Sean McCaffrey is President and CEO of the new GSTV. In this role, Sean’s focus is driving business growth through understanding the evolution of the media landscape, the consumer journey and consumer behavioral insights leveraging data, technology and scale of the new GSTV platform. Since joining the company, Sean has energized GSTV’s customer base and partnerships through a series of key executive hires, data and analytics partnerships and driving the evolution of the company’s unique national video network. He and the team continue a relentless focus on delivering value to brand, agency and retailer partners while building a fresh and entertaining consumer experience across the country.
A passionate and collaborative media executive, Sean previously served as EVP – Client Strategy & Partnerships at Clear Channel Outdoor, Americas. While at CCO, he led all strategic revenue activity with agency and brand partners and pioneered new product and partnership approaches to DOOH and integrated media campaigns. He likewise led multiple global media partnerships with CCO’s multi-national scale and brand relationships along with enterprise partnerships with iHeartMedia.
Sean has been a featured speaker at major industry events including, CES and Cannes Lions, and published in major industry trades on the evolution of DOOH, the evolution of the consumer journey and media innovation. Prior to GSTV, Sean held a variety of media sales and leadership positions across North American markets and regions. He began his career at a small private-equity backed media company which ultimately grew to a 9-figure IPO and subsequent acquisition and consolidation of an industry sector. Working for both small and large organizations and public and private ownership, he has a broad point-of-view on managing organizational change, integration, business growth strategy and collaborative leadership and vision.
Sean is currently a board member of the Ad Council, DPAA and OAAA, amongst other professional organizations. He graduated from Drake University with a BA in journalism and mass communication. His interest in advertising grew from watching billboards and those iconic brands from the back seat of the family station wagon on drives to the lake house.
